Cole Valley




Having recently described Bernal Heights as something akin to a New England seaside town, I'm suddenly reminded of a sailor friend from Newport RI, who said there was no other SF neighborhood that makes him as happy as Cole Valley.  And it makes sense. 

There's a mom and pop feel to the commercial area along Cole and Carl, and the residents seem very family oriented.  Great restaurants and cozy cafes are noticeably free, from any tourist contingent.  If you can afford a garage here, have supreme parking karma, or can do without a vehicle, you're set.
