Noe Valley

Strolley Valley, was the name heard on the streets about 5 years ago, referring to the influx then, of young hipster families into this once working class neighborhood.  Among the old Victorians and Edwardians, more modern residences have emerged.  The entire area, surrounded by hills and neighboring Twin Peaks, feels somewhat separate from the rest of SF.  This, despite the fact that Noe's main drag, 24th street, runs right down into the heart of the Mission.  Noe boasts numerous favorite local restaurants - Fire Fly, Chloe's, Eric's, and Incanto.  Coffee shops, cafes, and excellent boutique clothing shops draw plenty of foot traffic to 24th street on the weekends.

Backyards are in abudance here, and given the tight street parking, it's nice that many residences, even smaller apartment buildings, have garages.  Proximity to 280 and 101 make this a desireable area for those who have to travel south for work.
