Since 2007, the amazing banana cream, strawberry rhubarb, and pumpkin pies at Mission Pie shop have been baked over at Destination Baking Company. They've flown out of the cases as fast as Mission Pie can get them in. Now, Mission Pie will move into it's new corner store front, begin baking on premises, and expand its menu.
What?! You're not a fan of pie? Consider this, it's not your average pie or pie shop. Mission Pie is a business venture that collaborates with the non-profit Pie Ranch, a diversified small-scale educational farm one hour south of San Francisco. Mission Pie is a tangible connection to Pie Ranch; a place, like the ranch, where people can gather with a sense of community purpose and belonging. And, through hands-on work and collective reflection, both at Mission Pie and at Pie Ranch, San Francisco teenagers are discovering new competencies and insights that benefit their individual growth and that of their community.
The pies coming out of this shop are like no other. Spend a little time at the shop or the ranch, and it will make a pie lover out of you too.

On Monday June 23 and Tuesday June 24, Mission Pie will close to put the finishing touches on their new corner storefront, designed and built with care and great spirit by Selander Architects and Logan Design and Construction.
On Wednesday, June 25 (barring unexpected delays), Mission Pie WILL RE-OPEN!
